How does this gift help?:

How does this gift help?: "My father's happy for me to go to school now. It's important that I get an education so I can show other girls that they can have better lives," said Amna.

Amna's one of a new generation of girls in rural Pakistan getting the chance of a decent education, thanks to an Oxfam programme. In Sindh province little money is spent on girls' education. Schools are in disrepair and parents worry for their daughters' safety. But Oxfam is helping to rebuild schools, train teachers and improve facilities like toilets and perimeter walls. This means that Amna and her friends are now able to go to school and will have a brighter future ahead of them.
